January 23

Walked to the condo this morning and took the car to meet King Triton at the auto body shop in Scarberia for the round three of that busted-up mirror. With Dad handling everything, the guys at the shop didn’t make a fuss at all and we left the car there for them to work on. When that was over, Dad drove me back downtown and we had an amazing lunch together at Wilbur Mexicana. After that, he dropped me off at the condo and I pushed through a really good workout. Four hours later, I dragged my ass back home and had dinner.

I’m still in the process of arranging Hellacious’s visit/performance for the Mariah Carey party. When I attempted to confirm flight details today, Hellacious sprung it on me that he has two DUIs and might not be able to enter Canada. What. The. Fuck. I almost had an anxiety attack. Breathe. Breathe. I will find a way around this. Somehow.

I had plans to watch a movie at my place with Riley tonight. I thought she was going to bail on me, but it turned out she never got the confirmation message I sent this morning. So, when she texted me and asked what the plan was for tonight, I was ready to bail. Instead, I decided it would be good to have some company and social interaction. I’m so glad I did.

Riley came over, we had wine and popcorn, and talked all about our recent shitty days. It was very therapeutic. I gave her the rundown on my anxiety and communication struggles with Logan and she told me to be careful. We capped off our night with The Emperor’s New Groove. A classic!

After Riley left, I messaged Logan. Soon after that, I ended up calling him and we talked on the phone for over an hour. It was so nice. I love talking to Logan, and our conversation really put my mind at ease. At ease about what? Considering our situation, I’m not sure. Nonetheless, it was nice. I like Logan so much. I can’t wait to see him. Ahh. Everything will be okay.

Goodnight xo

It’s such a rarity to see something other than a grey sky during a Toronto winter. This picture was taken while driving my mirrorless car to the auto body shop. Scarborough, Ontario

One of my many favorite scenes from The Emperor’s New Groove. Yzma is ICONIQUE!
